Somewhere to challenge themselves

The years between childhood and becoming a teenager bring plenty of change. Having somewhere positive to learn, be challenged and feel part of a group can make a real difference.

Curated Juniors gives young people that space — developing their Jiu-Jitsu while building confidence, independence and resilience along the way.

their class

Real Jiu-Jitsu. Thoughtfully coached.

Curated Juniors introduces young people to a deeper level of Jiu-Jitsu through technical coaching, positional training and live sparring.

They're encouraged to think for themselves, solve problems and apply what they've learned — while our coaches maintain a structured, supportive environment around them.

The first visit

Starting is the hardest part

Walking into a new group can feel daunting — particularly when you've never tried Jiu-Jitsu before.

We'll introduce them properly, pair them with suitable training partners and guide them through the session. They won't be expected to know anything before they arrive.

Everyone on the mat had a first class once.

Do they need previous experience?

No. Juniors can start with no previous Jiu-Jitsu or martial arts experience.

Do they need to be particularly fit or sporty?

No. Fitness, coordination and Jiu-Jitsu ability all develop through training. They don't need to arrive with them.

Will they have to spar?

Live training is an important part of learning Jiu-Jitsu, but new students are introduced to it appropriately and supported by their coaches.

Is Jiu-Jitsu safe for this age?

Sessions are coached specifically for their age group, with appropriate training partners, clear rules and an emphasis on controlled training.

What should they wear for their first class?

Comfortable sports clothing is fine for their first visit. We'll explain everything they'll need for regular training afterwards.
